Free library cards are available to all California residents. Picture ID and proof of address are necessary to obtain a library card. Bring valid identification with you to the library when you register for a library card, such as a California driver's license or student ID, and any mail or official receipt which includes your name and current address. A parental signature is required for children in 8th grade or younger. There is a limit of two items the first time you check out library materials.
Please bring your library card with you to the library. It is required in order for you to check out materials.
For your convenience, the curbside bookdrops are open 24 hours for returns. Books, Books on Tape, Books on CD and Compact Discs can be renewed once unless they are reserved by another patron. Renewals must be made in person with the material present. At this time, phone renewals are not available.
Overdue Fines and Service Charges Effective December 2, 2003 While borrowing materials is free, as well as all of the library's programs, charges are required for certain services, replacement of lost items, and fees for extended use of materials. Patrons with overdue materials and/or fines may be prohibited from borrowing until the account is clear.
Overdue Fines are charged up to 90% of the cost of the item.
