Mission and Vision Statements
| Mission The Whittier Public Library contributes to the fulfillment of the educational, cultural, and informational needs of its diverse community. It is dedicated to providing a variety of services and resources that reflect a broad range of ideas. The Library provides materials of current interest, assists in finding information, and encourages the pursuit of knowledge. It also supports life long learning and the local educational system. Vision Whittier Public Library will provide facilities for the 21st century where people of all ages and backgrounds will find a welcoming environment, outstanding collection, access to the latest technology, and services that are in keeping with the Library's tradition of excellence. |
