In order to place holds,* renew items, and access other information regarding your library account, you will need to login to the library catalog as follows:
- User ID - enter your library card barcode number without any spaces
- PIN - the default PIN is changeme.
If you have changed your PIN and are having difficulties logging in, please visit one of our service desks or call us during business hours at (562) 567-9900. Once you have logged in, you may change your PIN. Disregard any spaces requiring an "ALT User ID."
Forgot your PIN number and need to reset it?
You can retrieve your PIN if you have an email address registered in your library account.
·Click the Forgot PIN link to request your PIN via email. You will then receive an email containing
your PIN to the email address listed in your library account.
·The Forgot PIN link is found under Log/In/My Account on the online library catalog page.
If you do not have an email address listed in your Library account, please call the Library during regular business hours to request your PIN.

The library catalog is unavailable daily from 4:30 to 7:00 a.m. for system maintenance.
*Note: A $1.00 charge will be added to your account for each hold placed. Holds should be placed when an item is currently checked out and you would like to be placed in line for the next available copy. If you place a hold, you will receive a notice in the mail when the item becomes available. It will be held for you for 10 days.
If an item is checked in and you would like it set aside, you may call the library and ask that it be saved at the front desk at no charge. The library will save a book for 3 days.
