| The purpose of the MakerSpace is to provide library patrons access to various technologies, tools, and traditional crafts that support their educational and personal goals in support of the Library’s mission. |
Location and Hours:The Whittier Public Library now has a MakerSpace located at the Central Library and Whittwood Branch which operate during the following hours: Drop-in Hours: By appointment only: *All hours are subject to change with Library hours, staff availability and Library programming* |
MakerSpace requirements during open hours:The MakerSpace is open to patrons ages 8 and over with a valid Whittier Public Library card or valid Photo ID. Maker Agreement and Release form•Hard copies will also be made available at the Central Library Adult Reference Desk. Please return your completed form to MakerSpace staff on the day of your first appointment •All Makers must complete a MakerSpace orientation before using specific equipment. |

Appointments:•MakerSpace appointments are limited to one 2-hour time slot per person per day. •There may be times when the MakerSpace is not available due to library events or programs. • Reservations for specific tools or equipment are not required but are highly encouraged, however, the Library does not guarantee the availability of any tools or equipment in the MakerSpace. •To request an appointment (2-hour time slot) for the MakerSpace, please fill out the following form and a staff member will contact you for scheduling.
